Too much to write about, and you can’t explain these places and experiences in words, so photos will have to work your imagination for now. Stories are better in person, and trust us, we will tell you stories.

All in all, we have just been so inspired by each and every place we have been to. This trip also makes us realize how amazing home is, and how much we appreciate the little things. Every day we ask ourselves “Is this real??”–we take nothing for granted and are thankful and so privelaged to be on such an amazing journey. And after all this time, we still like each other! Hurrah!

LOVE R & D

We arrived in Athens which is just a big city… kind of dirty… loud… BUT it was so cool to see the Acropolis. Ancient ruins, including the Parthenon, in the middle of the hustle and bustle. We decided to take a ferry to the island of Santorini to get out of the city. Santorini beautiful, the sunset is breathtaking and quad bikes are FUN. It has been a relaxing few days because it is the off season and no one… I mean NO ONE… is here. And Greek food is DELICIOUS.

Bessst. So far, this is where we want to live. Most amazing city full of artists, punks, culture and history. We stayed with a friend in Kreuzberg, which made our experience SO great. We got to check out local places that tourists would never know about (Hotel Bar, Madame Claude’s). We saw Alela Diane play at an old cathedral as soon as we arrived, sooo cool, and contrasted that with some Benga (Dub step DJ from London) on Friday. We fit in the Berlin Wall, graffiti tour (WOW), Tacheles (Artist’s commune), but one of our favourite things to do was to sit in a local cafe among artists, sipping coffee and having great conversation.

OKTOBERFESTTTTTTT. Enough said. Okay, okay… Munich is a city that actually thrives off of beer. 30% of the yearly beer sales in Munich happen within the 2 weeks of Oktoberfest. We were so lucky to stay with amazing locals while in Munich, such a great experience. They also know how to eat breakfast: White sausage, pretzels and beer. Woweeeee. Besides beer, the English Garden is beautiful, home of the eternal wave (Eisbach). Surfers are lined up to ride the wave even though it is soooo cold. We went to Kloster Andechs, a monestary that makes delicious beer (yep, even the monks love it). We did a city tour, New Munich, which was such a great experience–we learned tons of history(which was mainly about beer)–and coming from Amsterdam/Anne Frank house, it was such an interesting contrast. Since our room mate was an intern at BMW, it was only fitting that we visit BMW Welt (World). We packed a lot in. So fun. Amsterdam… Incredible. Rose learned to love Autumn, and I reassured myself that it is my favourite season. The greatest thing about Amsterdam is biking… everywhere. The city becomes so small when you are on a bike! We saw so much–a highlight was definitely the Anne Frank House. So powerful. Vondelpark was such a beautiful place to sit and have a picnic. The weather was perfect when we were there, couldn’t have asked for anything better. They have a Masters of New Media program at the university there sooooo we might just have to live there. Also, Toronto kids would die for the vintage shopping there.

HIIIII! Sorry for the lack of Blogging, we have been NON stop for the last two weeks.

WOW so where to start… San Sebastian. Amazing. So beautiful. Olga´s place is the raddest hostel, Olga is amazing, like a mother. We didn´t get to go surfing, but Rose sort of tried, and I got hit in the head by a surfboard, so we like to think that collectively, we surfed. Met so many rad people in San Sebastian and definitely had some fun…

Madrid… okay… first off, whoever told us to NOT go to Madrid is crazy. Madrid was wonderful. Stayed at the most amazing flat (Adrian and Jaime–you guys are amazing!). Met up with the oz boys from San Sebastian and hung out with them while in Madrid. Checked out the Reina Sofia & Prado museums, Parc Retiro, La Latina… so much. Amazing.

Granada. Not what we expected! So much eastern influence. Hookah bars everywhere. Our first night there was magical. Heard the besssst music ever. Unreal. Alhambra was magnificent. Words and Pictures cannot describe the beauty and detail of this castle. Saw a Flamenco show in a tiny basement of a bar. WOWOWOWOW. So passionate. So intense. Just incredible.

Now we are in Seville. Spain is fantastic. We are unsure of where to go next, which has created quite an adventurous trip so far. Definitely living one day at a time.

We are in Barcelona now TOGETHER at last! We have a SICK flat near the stadium.

Barcelona Football Club game. Great. Sorry, beats a Blue Jays game.
Sitges beach. So so beautiful. 40 min south.
Gaudi architecture. Wowwww.
Partying til the weee hours (sorry dad).  (safety first)
